Площадью более, чем 24 000 км, Сардиния – это второй по величине остров в Средиземноморье. Побережье этого итальянского острова составляет 1 849 км в длину, и его жемчужно-белые пляжи часто появляются в списках лучших пляжей мира.
Немного истории
Сардиния известна своими каменными сооружениями предысторического периода, Нураги, провозглашенные ЮНЕСКО частью мирового наследия в 1997 году, они свидетельствуют о том, что Сардиния – одна из самых древних земель Европы. Эти тысячелетние постройки Вы сможете увидеть только на Сардинии и больше нигде в мире.
В результате этого Сардиния стала излюбленным местом археологов и историков со всего мира, пока Измаильский Принц Карим Агахан не посетил северное побережье острова, или Коста Смеральда, в начале 60-х г.г. Он оценил красоту сардинских пляжей и вложил капитал в развитие «Изумрудного Побережья», после чего популярность Сардинии как места отдыха начала стремительно возрастать.

Многочисленные бухты, скалы, острова и прозрачное голубое море омывают берега Сардинии. Позвольте мне рассказать Вам о моих любимых пляжах на Сардинии.
Пляж Ли Коджи (Li Coggi)
Этот великолепный пляж находится на северо-востоке Сардинии, недалеко от Порто Черво. Несколько площадок для гольфа и красивейшая бухта расположены неподалеку, как и прекрасные Острова Нибани (Isole di li Nibani), являющиеся частью «Национального Парка Ла Маддалена» (Parco Nazionale dell’ Arcipelago di La Maddalena).
Пляж острова Морторио (Mortorio)
Остров Морторио это небольшой островок (также являющийся частью Национального Парка Ла Маддалена) на северо-востоке Сардинии, до которого можно добраться только на лодке. Здесь Вас ожидают безлюдные и невероятно красивые пляжи и прозрачное голубое море, так отлично подходящее для скуба-дайвинга.
Морские пещеры Кала Гононе (Cala Gonone)
На восточном побережье острова, примерно в 10 км от Доргали (Dorgali), расположился городок Кала Гононе. Из Доргали в этот прибрежный городок ведет живописная и панорамная дорога, но пляжи и природа в Кала Гононе (эта территория – часть Нациаонального Парка Дженнардженту — Gennargentu National Park) обладают несравненной красотой.
Ла Маддалена (La Maddalena)
На самом севере Сардинии, недалеко от Ольбии, на одноименном острове находится город и коммуна Ла Маддалена. Это поистине великолепное, но иногда слишком туристическое место.
